WHAT IS DIGITALIZATION?
Digitalization is not a temporary trend, but one of the biggest changes in economic history and describes the transformation of economic and social systems through the use of digital technologies. With the use of digital technologies and its development speed, we will see as many changes in the next 100 years, as we have seen in the last 20.000 years.
In this regard, Emons created the digitalization strategy to explore new, digital business segments and consider how existing digital approaches and trends can help to safe the companies economic sustainability.
Primarily, a vision was defined that pays into the digitalization strategy. Furthermore, general measures were created that affect general actions of the digitalization area as well as projects within that area. Additional measures for the strategic direction, the way of working and communication within and outside of the digitalization area were defined.
Finally, the operational setup as well as differentiation and interdependence between digitalization and IT-area are explained.
